Carolina Ochoa Dies After Head-On Car Crash on Vasco Road
CONTRA COSTA, CA (March 2, 2023) — Carolina Ochoa of Livermore died after a head-on crash on Vasco Road early Monday, February 27.
The fatal incident occurred south of Camino Diablo at about 4:20 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Authorities said 23-year-old Ochoa traveled northbound on Vasco Road in a Ford Fusion. At some point, it crossed the double yellow lines and collided with a big rig.
The crash inflicted fatal injuries to Ochoa, who died at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver of the tractor-trailer emerged from the collision unharmed.
The cause and factors behind the accident remain under investigation. However, no other information is released at this time.
