Carlos Rodriguez Identified in Fatal Accident on 20 Freeway in Howard County

 
HOWARD COUNTY, TX (July 5, 2023) – Officials identified 69-year-old Carlos Rodriguez of Big Spring who died in a rear-end accident on 20 Freeway on June 26.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near Mile Marker 188 at approximately 5:47 PM. Based on the report, Rodriguez’s Buick Enclave hit the center median cable prior to the crash.
 
Subsequently, his vehicle became disabled in the eastbound outside lane of the freeway. Then, a Dodge Ram truck traveling eastbound hit it from the rear.
 
As a result, Rodriguez suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
The driver of the Dodge was not hurt.
 
Currently, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
