Candy Godkin Killed after Sparks Rollover Accident at Greg Street and Marietta Way
SPARKS, NV (December 4, 2023) — 31-year-old Candy Godkin of Reno died in a rollover crash on Friday, November 24.
According to the Sparks Police officers, the crash took place on Greg Street and Marietta Way for a two-vehicle collision shortly after 2:30 a.m.
An investigation determined Godkin drove eastbound on Greg Street towards Marietta Way. At the same time, another vehicle moved westbound on Greg Street, just west of Marietta Way. Then it failed to maintain its travel lane and went over the center lane. It resulted in crashing head-on into Godkin’s vehicle.
The impact caused both vehicles to overturn. Crews arrived on the scene and discovered two badly damaged cars. Sparks Fire extricated Godkin out of the vehicle. Despite medical aid, paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.
Medics also rushed the driver of the other vehicle to a hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
