LOS ANGELES, CA (January 4, 2024) — Sergio Bernal Rubio died while three other people sustained injuries after a fiery crash on 82nd Street and Compton Avenue on Monday night, December 25.

The fatal incident occurred in the unincorporated Florence-Firestone area, according to the California Highway Patrol which received a report at about 10:40 p.m.

Authorities stated that two vehicles had figured in a collision on 82nd Street and Compton Avenue, for reasons still unknown.

The wreckage then burst into flames.

The accident left 34-year-old Rubio dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, respondents transported three patients to Los Angeles General Medical Center for treatment of critical injuries.
