Brian Tamburello and Mario Morquecho Killed after George West Car Crash

 
GEORGE WEST, TX (August 12, 2024) — Two people, Brian Tamburello and Mario Morquecho, died in a two-vehicle accident on Thursday, July 25.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened at around 12:17 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 59 and FM 624.
 
An investigation determined that a 2014 Dodge Ram 3500 pickup pulling a trailer filled with goats traveled eastbound on FM 624. Then it arrived at the intersection and failed to yield at the stop sign.
 
After that, a 2020 Peterbilt tractor-trailer moving northbound on Highway 59 struck the truck on the passenger side.
 
Due to the impact of the collision, both vehicles went off the road and slammed into a stop sign. Then the cars went through a wire fence. The Dodge Ram rolled over onto the driver’s side.
 
Both people inside the truck died at the scene. Authorities identified them as 43-year-old Brian Tamburello and 24-year-old Mario Morquecho of Harper, Texas.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics transported the driver of the tractor-trailer to a Corpus Christi hospital with minor injuries. Officials identified them as 63-year-old Mitchell Chapman of Spearfish, South Dakota.
