Brenda Jodoin Killed, Gabriella Lujan Arrested after Hit-and-Run Crash on Pine Street

 
ABILENE, TX (March 1, 2024) — A 58-year-old woman identified as Brenda Ann Janiszewski Jodoin, of Virginia, died in a hit-and-run on Friday, February 16.
 
The Abilene Police Department said the fatal accident took place in the 3100 block of Pine Street at about 9:40 p.m.
 
According to the Abilene police, 28-year-old Gabriella Rae Lujan, of Hawley, struck Jodoin with her vehicle as Jodoin was on the road on Pine Street. Police say Lujan fled the scene without checking on Jodoin.
 
When officers arrived, they pronounced Jodoin dead at the scene.
 
Authorities then booked Lujan into the Taylor County Jail on Wednesday, February 21. They charged her with an accident involving death, a second-degree felony, and failure to stop and render aid.
