Brandon Brown Killed, Eva Rosa Injured in Head-On Crash on FM 70 in Bishop

 
BISHOP, TX (September 25, 2024) — A 46-year-old Border Patrol agent, Brandon Brown, of Corpus Christi, died in an accident on Monday, September 16.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred at about 8:45 p.m. on FM 70 near County Road 67, east of Kingsville.
 
Texas DPS said Brown drove a 1998 Lexus ES eastbound on FM 70 on the way to work. Then a 2023 Dodge Charger, moving westbound on FM 70, crossed into the wrong side of the road. After that, it struck head-on Brown’s Lexus.
 
Due to the impact of the collision, Brown’s Lexus went off the road. Then it came to a stop in a ditch.
 
First responders extricated Brown from the driver’s seat of his vehicle. Then they brought him to Christus Spohn Shoreline, where he died from his injuries.
 
The driver of the Dodge Charger identified as Eva Rosa, of Bishop, was conscious and talking before medics brought her to the same hospital. It is unknown what caused her to cross into the other lane. There are also no reports yet if she will face any charges.
 
Brown was a 21-year veteran of the Border Patrol Agent for the Kingsville sector. Loved ones made a GoFundMe to support his family during this time of tragedy.
