Three Die in Car Accident on 10 Freeway at Milepost 391

 
TUCSON, AZ (September 25, 2024) — Three people died after a two-vehicle accident on 10 Freeway on Saturday, September 14.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred at around 5:10 p.m. on the eastbound 10 Freeway at milepost 391.
 
AZDPS said a commercial vehicle moved east on 10 Freeway. Then it appears a tire failed on the driver’s side which probably caused the driver to lose control. The vehicle subsequently went into and through the median. After that, it crashed into another vehicle moving westbound.
 
The impact ejected three people from that vehicle. Emergency responders arrived and then pronounced them dead at the scene. Meanwhile, they also airlifted two other individuals from the same vehicle to the hospital.
 
Paramedics also transported the driver of the at-fault vehicle to the hospital.
 
Authorities have not yet released the identities of the people involved in the crash.
 
The investigation is still underway.
