Bicyclist Dead after Colorado Springs Hit-and-Run on Astrozon Boulevard and Hancock Expressway

 
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (October 9, 2023) — A cyclist died after a hit-and-run on Astrozon Boulevard on Wednesday, September 6.
 
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department, officers received reports of the crash at 10:46 p.m. on Astrozon Boulevard and Hancock Expressway.
 
When officers arrived at the area, they found a bicyclist who had been struck by a vehicle. They pronounced the cyclist dead on the scene. Officials have not yet released the victim’s identity.
 
During the initial investigation, officers determined that the bicyclist moved south in a northbound lane. Then a vehicle hit the bicyclist and fled.
 
Authorities have not yet released any description of the vehicle or driver.
 
Officials continue to investigate the crash.
