Man Killed, Four Injured in Speeding Accident on South Chambers Road [Aurora, CO]

Man Dead in Aurora Speeding Crash on South Chambers Road and East Iliff Avenue

 
AURORA, CO (October 9, 2023) — An Aurora man died after a speeding accident on South Chambers Road on Saturday, September 2.
 
According to the Aurora Police Department, the crash took place near the intersection of South Chambers Road and East Iliff Avenue at about 11:40 p.m.
 
Officers said the driver of a gray Lexus ES330 ran a red light. Then his vehicle struck a black Nissan Rogue moving south on Chambers Road.
 
Paramedics transported the 23-year-old male driver of the Nissan to a hospital in serious condition. He died the next day.
 
Medics also rushed the Lexus driver, a 25-year-old Denver man, to a hospital with injuries. He remained in the hospital as of Tuesday afternoon.
 
The Nissan’s passenger and the Lexus’ two passengers also received treatments after medics brought them to the hospital. However, police do not know their conditions.
 
Offices said speeding and impairment contributed as factors in the accident. Aurora police said there are pending charges against the driver who ran the red light.
