Woman Killed in Multi-Car Crash Involving Suspected DUI Driver Bianca Hernandez in Pala

 
PALA, CA (June 7, 2023) – Officers arrested 23-year-old Bianca Anahy Hernandez of Pauma Valley after a fatal car crash on Highway 76 on May 30.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Magee Road shortly after 9:00 PM. Based on a report, the suspect lost control of a Toyota Camry while traveling eastbound on the highway.
 
Subsequently, her car veered into the westbound lane, causing a series of collisions involving the Toyota, a Hyundai Santa Fe, a Jeep Laredo and a Lexus GS-350.
 
As a result, the driver the Lexus, a 65-year-old Fountain Valley woman, suffered severe injuries and died at the scene. Officials did not yet release her name, pending kin notification.
 
A passenger in the Toyota and an occupant in the Jeep suffered minor to moderately injuries.
 
Crews sent Hernandez to a hospital before booking her into county jail in Vista on suspicion of felony DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
