Benjamin Lee Struck and Injured by Vehicle on Highway 96 in Jasper County

 
JASPER COUNTY, TX (October 26, 2022) – Police identified 23-year-old Benjamin Lee of Jasper as the victim in a pedestrian accident on Highway 96 on October 22.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 3:55 PM.
 
Based on a report, Lee was on the roadway at the time of the crash. At the same time, a 2020 Chevrolet box truck was traveling south on the highway. When Lee entered the lanes, the truck struck him.
 
As a result, Lee suffered injuries in the incident. Paramedics transported him to a Houston hospital for treatment.
 
The driver of the Chevrolet, 27-year-old Miguel Rojas of Groves was not hurt during the crash.
 
As of now, this crash remains under investigation. Additional information is not available at this time.
