EARLY, TX (October 30, 2024) — A 75-year-old Clebourne woman, Barbara Blanton Fowler, died in a pedestrian accident on Wednesday, October 9.
 
According to the Early Police Department, the incident occurred at around 9:10 p.m. on the 100 block of Early Boulevard.
 
Emergency personnel discovered that Fowler was crossing the roadway. Then a passenger vehicle traveling westbound in the outside lane struck her.
 
After the incident, the passenger car immediately stopped and called for aid from authorities. Then two passing DPS units stopped to give initial medical treatment until EMS arrived.
 
Emergency responders airlifted Fowler to Hendrick North in Abilene where she passed away at around 2:45 a.m.
 
Authorities continue to investigate the fatal pedestrian accident.
