GOODYEAR, AZ (September 18, 2023) — A baby died and a man suffered critical injuries after a solo-car crash on Perryville Road on Sunday, September 17.
 
The solo-vehicle crash happened on Perryville Road between Van Buren Street and Yuma Road at about 12:20 p.m.
 
Goodyear Fire officials and Arizona Fire and Medical Authorities responded to the scene and found a vehicle that struck a power pole.
 
Officials said the impact ejected two people, a 28-year-old man and an infant, from the vehicle.
 
Paramedics brought the man to the hospital in critical condition.
 
However, officials said the baby died at the scene.
 
Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office handles the ongoing investigation of the accident.
