Aylin Marquez-Galindo Killed in North Las Vegas Wrong-Way Accident

 
NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (April 23, 2024) — 26-year-old Aylin Marquez-Galindo died in a wrong-way crash on Monday, April 8.
 
According to the North Las Vegas Police Department, the accident happened on Camino Al Norte near Lone Mountain Road at about 6:00 p.m.
 
An investigation determined that for unknown reasons, Marquez-Galindo drove a white 2016 Honda Civic onto the wrong side of the roadway. Then it crashed head-on into a gray 2022 Kia Forte.
 
Marquez-Galindo, who was the only person in the car, died at the scene. Friends made a GoFundMe page to help her loved ones with the funeral expenses.
 
Emergency responders brought the driver and two passengers of the Kia Forte to UMC Trauma with life-threatening injuries. Police said the driver and one of the passengers were in critical condition. Meanwhile, the other passenger has non-life-threatening injuries.
 
North Las Vegas police continue to investigate the crash. They do not believe speed and impairment contributed to the collision.
