Aureliano Orihuela Identified in Injury Crash Involving DUI Driver on Highway 503 in Woodland

 
WOODLAND, WA (April 6, 2023) – Officers confirmed that 25-year-old Aureliano Orihuela and a 17-year-old driver from Woodland suffered injuries in a DUI crash on Highway 503 on April 2.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened shortly after 5:30 PM.
 
Based on a report, a 2003 Infiniti G35 was traveling south prior to the crash. Due to unknown reasons, it left the roadway at Milepost 51 and struck a fence.
 
The driver suffered injuries and was taken to PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center in Longview. Crews took Orihuela to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver.
 
Troopers said they believe alcohol or drugs were involved and referred a charge of vehicular assault against the teen driver.
 
At this point, an investigation into the accident is ongoing.
