Three Killed in Single-Vehicle Accident on Recreational Road 2 in Del Rio

 
DEL RIO, TX (June 13, 2024) – Officials charged 21-year-old Asha Kisindja after a fatal accident on Recreational Road 2 on May 28.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 9:30 PM. Based on a report, Kisindja approached the Rough Canyon recreational area parking lot at a high rate of speed and misread a curve.
 
The action caused her to lose control and the vehicle to roll over.
 
DPS said two male passengers from Mexico were ejected from the vehicle and Kisindja ran away from the scene.
 
As a result, the two males sustained grave head injuries in the incident. Troopers performed CPR on the victims until EMS got to the scene but both died at the scene. Crews sent one of the passengers from Mexico to a San Antonio hospital and three others to the Val Verde hospital.
 
One of the males later died in the hospital. Officials did not release the names of the victims, pending kin notification.
 
Officers later located Kisindja. They did not release details on the charges filed against her.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
