Aresly Jaramillo Killed in Pedestrian Accident in Dallas

 
DALLAS, TX (August 21, 2024) – The Dallas Police Department identified 20-year-old Aresly Jaramillo who died in a pedestrian accident in the 8700 block of Elam Road on August 5.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 7:00 PM. Based on a report, the victim was standing in the median and ran across the road in front of two vehicles that were trying to turn left onto Cedarcliff Drive.
 
At the same time, a Dallas police officer in a marked squad car was driving east on Elam Road without the car’s emergency lights and siren. Due to unknown reasons, the car hit Jaramillo when she ran into the far-left lane of the road.
 
As a result, Jaramillo suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
