April Melendez Killed in Car Crash on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard [Lubbock, TX]

April Melendez Identified in Fatal Crash on North M.L.K. Jr. Boulevard in Lubbock

 
LUBBOCK, TX (December 15, 2022) – Lubbock Police identified 31-year-old April Melendez as the victim who died in a crash in the 700 block of North Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard on December 13.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near East Municipal Drive around 1:35 AM.
 
Based on a report, Melendez was driving a passenger car on East Municipal prior to the crash. As she approached the stop sign, she collided with a pickup truck.
 
As a result, Melendez suffered serious injuries in the incident. Paramedics transported her to University Medical Center, where she later died.
 
The four occupants in the truck were not hurt.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation.
