Crystal Goforth Killed, Jon Corder Injured in Levelland Crash on Highway 385

 
LEVELLAND, TX (October 17, 2022) – Police identified 38-year-old Animal Control Officer Crystal Goforth as the victim who died in a crash on Highway 385 on October 13.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened between Alaska Road and Brazil Road.
 
Based on a report, Goforth’s 2016 Ford F150 was parked facing north on the northbound improved shoulder of the highway prior to the crash. At the same time, a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD pickup was traveling north in the northbound lane. Due to unknown reasons, the drifted onto the improved shoulder and the rear of the F150.
 
As a result, Goforth died at the scene.
 
The victim’s partner, 41-year-old Jon Corder suffered serious injuries.
 
Police said the victims were on a call for service at the time of the accident.
