Andrew Resendez, Whitney Escobar, Jairus Johnson Identified in Fatal Centerville Crash; Maryah Lopez Injured

 
CENTERVILLE, TX (December 14, 2022) – Officials identified 20-year-old Andrew Resendez of Bryan as one of the three victims who died in a crash in the 535 block of Cass Street on December 10.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near midnight. Based on a report, Resendez was driving a car north on Cass prior to the crash.
 
Due to an unknown reason, he lost control and the car went off the road before it struck a tree.
 
As a result, Resendez died in the incident. His two passengers, 20-year-old Whitney Escobar of Bryan and 22-year-old Jairus Johnson of Houston, also died.
 
Crews transported a third passenger, 20-year-old Maryah Lopez of Centerville, to a Bryan hospital via air ambulance.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
