Andrea Walter Struck and Killed by Vehicle on 5 Freeway in Chehalis

 
CHEHALIS, WA (October 3, 2023) – The Lewis County Coroner’s Office identified 40-year-old Andrea L. Walter of Onalaska who died in a pedestrian accident on 5 Freeway on September 14.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened just south of milepost 78 shortly before 1:00 AM. Based on a report, Walter was lying in the roadway on the northbound side of the freeway prior to the crash.
 
A 27-year-old man from British Columbia who was driving a semi-truck hit her.
 
As a result, Walter suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
The semi-truck then pulled off to the right shoulder. Its driver and his passenger, a 34-year-old man from British Columbia, were not hurt.
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
