Alicia Rivas Identified in Fatal Accident in Andrews County

 
ANDREWS COUNTY,TX (November 18, 2022) – Police identified 52-year-old Alicia Rivas of Lovington, New Mexico as the victim who died in an accident on Kermit Highway on November 14.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at FM 181 around 5:00 PM. Based on a report, Rivas was driving a 2019 Nissan Rogue on the highway at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, she disregarded the stop sign at the intersection. Then, a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 struck her car on the driver’s side.
 
As a result, Rivas was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
Paramedics sent the driver of the pickup to Permian Regional Medical Center for treatment.
 
As of now, the crash remains under investigation.
