DUI Driver Ali Aponte Involved in Las Vegas Crash on Dean Martin Drive

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (December 13, 2023) – Officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department arrested 50-year-old Ali Brandy Aponte following a DUI crash on Dean Martin Drive on December 2.
 
According to the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol, the collision happened at West Tompkins Avenue around 10:25 PM. Based on a report, Aponte was driving a 2003 Honda Odyssey approaching the intersection before the crash.
 
At the same time, a 2017 Toyota Yaris went northbound on Dean Martin Drive in the left-most travel lane. According to the investigation, the Honda then entered the northbound lanes and struck the front of the Toyota.
 
As a result, the Toyota driver suffered serious injuries. Emergency medical personnel transported the victim to UMC Trauma in critical condition. A 26-year-old male passenger in the car sustained minor injuries.
 
LVMPD said Aponte showed signs of impairment and was arrested for DUI-related charges.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
