Alexis Delatorre Killed, Teddy Kujawski Injured in Crash on Highway 125 at Commercial Drive [College Place, WA]

Alexis Delatorre Identified in Fatal Crash on Highway 125 in College Place

 
COLLEGE PLACE, WA (July 12, 2024) – Officials identified 23-year-old Alexis Delatorre of Walla Walla who died in a crash on Highway 125 on June 19.
 
The Washington State Patrol said the collision happened at Commercial Drive around 10:01 AM. Based on a report, Delatorre was driving a 2020 Nissan Versa sedan near the intersection during the crash.
 
At the same time, 45-year-old Teddy Kujawski of Dixie was driving a 2003 Dodge Dakota pickup northbound on the highway. Due to unknown reasons, Kujawski crossed into the southbound lane and collided with Delatorre’s sedan.
 
As a result, Delatorre suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
Crews transported Kujawski to Providence St. Mary Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
 
Both vehicles were totaled in the incident.
 
It was not clear if drugs or alcohol were a factor and charges were pending against Kujawski.
 
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
