Alexandria Pierce Fatally Injured in Three-Vehicle Accident in Whitewright

 
WHITEWRIGHT, TX (November 13, 2024) — A 29-year-old Sherman woman identified as Alexandria Pierce died in an accident on Friday, November 1.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash took place on Highway 160 near Desert Lake Road.
 
The initial investigation determined that Pierce drove a Jeep Patriot. At the same time, a stopped truck towing a trailer moved south on Highway 160, waiting to turn onto Desert Lake Road. Then the Jeep struck the back of the truck.
 
The impact of the collision pushed the Jeep into the northbound lane, where another vehicle struck it head-on. It ejected Pierce from her vehicle.
 
DPS confirmed that Pierce died in the accident. There were no reports of other injuries.
 
Authorities closed Highway 160 while they cleared the wreckage and investigated the incident.
