Abed-Isaac Pierre Dies after Richardson Chain-Reaction Crashes on Highway 75

 
RICHARDSON, TX (February 16, 2024) — One person identified as 32-year-old Abed-Isaac Pierre, of Florida, died after two accidents on Monday, February 12.
 
Richardson Police Department officers rushed to Highway 75 near Belt Line Road at around 1:15 a.m. They later determined that two separate crashes took place in the area.
 
The first crash occurred when a Lexus sedan moving north hit a center concrete barrier, disabling the vehicle. After that, the driver and passenger went out of the vehicle.
 
Then a Honda sedan moving north later struck the Lexus. It subsequently spun and struck the passenger who stood in the roadway.
 
Pierre, who was the passenger, died at the scene. Paramedics transported both drivers to the hospital with minor injuries.
 
The crashes blocked all northbound lanes for multiple hours.
 
The Texas Department of Transportation said the incident snarled the morning rush hour traffic.
