Aaron Soto and Angel Loera Fatally Injured in Semi-Truck Accident in Phoenix

 
PHOENIX, AZ (December 23, 2024) — 28-year-old Aaron Soto and 28-year-old Angel Loera died in a semi-truck accident on Tuesday, December 10.
 
According to the Phoenix Police, the accident took place on Grand Avenue and 33rd Avenue a little after 7:00 a.m.
 
Phoenix Police said Soto drove too fast while moving northwest on Grand Avenue. Then he crashed into the back of a semi-truck making a left onto 33rd Avenue from southeast Grand Avenue.
 
Soto and his passenger, Loera, suffered fatal injuries in the collision. They both died at the scene. Loera’s loved ones made a GoFundMe to help his bereaved family.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics brought the semi-truck driver to a hospital with minor injuries. Police said the semi driver was not under the influence.
 
Officials closed the area for hours as detectives investigated. They reopened Grand Avenue in both directions between 31st Avenue and 33rd Avenues at about 2:30 p.m.
 
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
