Aaliyah Gil Identified in Fatal Phoenix Crash on 35th Avenue

 
PHOENIX, AZ (September 6, 2023) – The Phoenix Police Department identified 20-year-old Aaliyah Renee Gil who died in a crash on 35th Avenue on September 2.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Baseline Road around 1:20 AM. Based on a report, Gil was driving her vehicle northbound on 35th Avenue prior to the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, she crossed into oncoming traffic and hit another vehicle in the southbound lanes.
 
As a result, Gil suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
Two other adults sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries. Emergency crews took the victims to the hospital for treatment.
 
Authorities said impairment was a factor in the crash.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
