91-Year-Old Chester Smith and 80-Year-Old Connie Smith Identified in Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 317 in Temple

 
TEMPLE, TX (October 6, 2023) – Temple police identified 91-year-old Chester Smith and 80-year-old Connie Smith who died in a crash on Highway 317 on September 28.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Little Mexico Road around 6:15 PM. Based on a report, a vehicle with three individuals on board collided with a second car with a single occupant.
 
As a result, Connie Smith and Chester Smith suffered severe injuries in the incident. Crews transported them to a nearby local hospital, where they later died.
 
The other two people involved experienced minor injuries.
