James Robert Identified in Fatal Crash on Airport Road in Redding

 
REDDING, CA (August 2, 2023) – The Shasta County Coroner’s Office identified 90-year-old James Robert who died in a crash in the 8080 block of Airport Road on June 14.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened shortly before 11:23 AM. Based on a report, Robert was a passenger in a gold Cadillac sedan that was traveling northbound on Airport Road.
 
As the Cadillac went to turn into Kent’s Meats parking lot, a blue PG&E truck that was traveling southbound hit its passenger door. A Honda that was pulling out of the parking lot was also involved in the crash.
 
As a result, Robert sustained grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
