LOS ANGELES, CA (December 5, 2022) – An 89-year-old female pedestrian died after a vehicle struck her in a hit-and-run on East 109th Street and South Central Avenue on Thursday evening, December 1.

Based on the Los Angeles Police Department, a dark-colored medium-sized Chevrolet struck the woman walking outside the crosswalk around 11:00 p.m. The vehicle did not stop and drove away from the scene, police furthered.

The impact of the collision sent the woman into the air. The victim died at the scene, police said.
