87-Year-Old Kenneth Duckworth Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Highway 78 in Bailey

 
BAILEY, TX (September 18, 2023) – Officials identified 87-year-old Kenneth Duckworth who died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 78 on September 1.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened around 9:40 PM. Based on a report, Duckworth was walking northbound on the highway, along the edge of the pavement at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a 2023 Ford F150 hit him.
 
As a result, Duckworth suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
The driver of the Ford, a 54-year-old resident of Leonard, Texas, was not hurt in the incident.
 
Officers reported that the road condition was dry. As of now, the case remains under investigation.
