CLE ELUM, WA (August 31, 2023) – Troopers confirmed that an 86-year-old man died in a head-on crash on Highway 903 on August 27.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened between Cle Elum and Roslyn around 10:35 PM. Based on a report, two cars were traveling in opposite directions on the highway prior to the crash.
 
When they reached milepost 4 near the Cle Elum city limits, the vehicles collided head-on.
 
As a result, the man in one of the vehicles suffered grave injuries and died in the incident. Troopers said he was not wearing a seatbelt. Officials did not yet release his name, pending kin notification.
 
A 71-year-old woman and 73-year-old man in the other car were not hurt.
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
