86-Year-Old Julia Severino Killed in Crash on Industrial Boulevard at Baumberg Avenue [Hayward, CA]

Julia Severino Identified in Fatal Hayward Car Crash

 
HAYWARD, CA (March 27, 2023) – Hayward Police identified 86-year-old Julia Severino as the victim died in a crash on Industrial Boulevard on March 23.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Baumberg Avenue around 5:05 PM. Based on a report, Severino was driving her car when she collided with another vehicle at the intersection.
 
The cause of the crash remains unknown at this time.
 
As a result, emergency crews found Severino unconscious with multiple injuries. She was taken to a hospital, where she later died.
 
A 54-year-old man who was the sole occupant of the other vehicle remained at the scene and was cooperating with investigators. He had complaints of pain but did not require hospitalization.
 
As of now, the Major Collision Investigation Unit Detectives are taking over the investigation.
