Fatal Las Vegas Pedestrian Accident on Buffalo Drive and Spring Mountain Road

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (January 6, 2025) — An 84-year-old woman died in a pedestrian accident on Buffalo Drive on Wednesday, December 25.
 
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the accident occurred near Buffalo Drive and Spring Mountain Road at about 11:09 p.m.
 
The investigation determined a 46-year-old man drove a Camry east on Spring Mountain approaching Spring Shower Drive. At the same moment, the 84-year-old woman tried to cross south on West Spring Mountain Road, west of Spring Shower Drive outside a crosswalk.
 
Then the Camry struck the pedestrian. Medical responders arrived and despite life-saving measures, she died at the scene.
 
Reports said the driver of the Camry did not display signs of impairment and voluntarily performed sobriety tests.
 
The incident marked the 156th traffic-related death in the LVMPD’s jurisdiction this 2024.
