Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Harris Road at Manon Avenue in Hayward

 
HAYWARD, CA (December 12, 2022) – The Hayward Police Department confirmed that an 82-year-old woman died in a pedestrian accident on Harris Road on December 7.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Manon Avenue shortly before 9:00 AM. Based on a report, the pedestrian was at the intersection at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle struck her. Emergency crews found the victim trapped under the car.
 
As a result, she died at the scene. Officials did not release her name at this time.
 
The driver left the scene on foot before officers arrived but later returned. The HPD did not believe intoxication was a factor.
 
At this point, the CHP continues to investigate the case. In addition, no other details are available.
