Man Struck and Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver on SW Roxbury Street in White Center

 
WHITE CENTER, WA (May 1, 2024) – The King County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that an 81-year-old man died in a hit-and-run on SW Roxbury Street on April 22.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at 15th Avenue SW shortly after 10:00 PM. Based on a report, a silver 2007-2016 Jeep Compass struck the victim in the lanes.
 
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim.
 
As a result, the man suffered grave injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported him to Harborview Medical Center, where he later died.
 
Police said the Jeep Compass had noticeable front-end damage to its grill and hood. Authorities ask anyone with information to call 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
