81-Year-Old Ismael Moreno Killed, Rodney Willis Arrested in Pedestrian Accident on Lamar Avenue [Paris, TX]

81-Year-Old Ismael Moreno Struck and Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver Rodney Willis on Lamar Avenue in Paris

 
PARIS, TX (October 6, 2023) – Officials identified 81-year-old Ismael Claudio Moreno of Paris who died in a pedestrian accident on Lamar Avenue on September 29.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened in the 3900 block of the road. Based on a report, 59-year-old Rodney Sherman Willis, also of Paris, hit Moreno in the lanes.
 
Subsequently, police said Willis fled the scene without giving aid to the victim.
 
As a result, Moreno sustained grave injuries in the incident.
 
Officers found and arrested Willis on charges of accident involving death.
