Kyle Wilson and China Gunn Survive Fatal Car Crash in Fannin County

 
FANNIN COUNTY, TX (September 18, 2023) – Officials identified 36-year-old Kyle Wilson and 30-year-old China Gunn of Trenton who survived a fatal crash on FM 151 on September 7.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened just two miles northwest of Trenton around 10:00 PM. Based on a report, Wilson was driving a 2017 Cadillac XTS at an unsafe speed northbound on the road prior to the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, he failed to negotiate a curve and crashed the vehicle.
 
As a result, an 8-year-old girl in the vehicle suffered grave injuries. Medic rushed her to Cooks Children’s Hospital, where she died. She was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
 
Wilson, who was not also wearing a seatbelt, sustained critical injuries. Crews transported him to Medical City Plano. They took Gunn to Medical City McKinney with a 10-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl. They all sustained stable injuries.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
