78-Year-Old Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver in Accident on 4th Street in Long Beach
LONG BEACH, CA (July 12, 2021) – A 78-year-old woman died in a pedestrian accident on 4th Street on July 8.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Ximeno Avenue shortly after 10:00 PM.
Based on reports, the woman was walking in a crosswalk at the time of the crash. At that time, a red Subaru Outback or Crosstrek was making a left turn at the intersection. Subsequently, the vehicle struck the victim. Then, the driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the elderly.
As a result, the Long Beach Police Department said the woman died in the crash. Officials did not yet release her name pending kin notification.
