78-Year-Old Man Killed in Bicycle Crash on South Tenaya Way and Oakey Boulevard [Las Vegas, NV]

Fatal Las Vegas Bicycle Accident on South Tenaya Way and Oakey Boulevard

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (November 3, 2023) — A man sustained fatal injuries after a bicycle crash near the intersection of South Tenaya Way and Oakey Boulevard on Monday, October 30.
 
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the crash took place at about 4:30 p.m.
 
LVMPD said officers responded to the scene after receiving reports of a 78-year-old man who sustained injuries while on a motorized pedal bicycle.
 
Emergency responders transported the man to UMC’s Trauma Center. Medical staff later pronounced him dead six hours later.
 
The coroner has not yet released the man’s identity pending notification of loved ones.
 
Authorities say they have not yet determined what caused the accident. Police continue to investigate the crash.
 
Officials said they will not count the death as a traffic-related fatality until they have found the cause and manner of death.
