Dennis Morford Identified in Fatal Tucson Crash on Broadway Boulevard
TUCSON, AZ (October 2, 2023) – The Tucson Police Department identified 77-year-old Dennis Morford who died in a crash on Broadway Boulevard on September 26.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Old Spanish Trail. Based on a report, Morford was driving a blue 2001 Chevrolet Corvette at the time of the crash.
He was heading north on east Old Spanish Trail and stopped at the stop sign before entering east Broadway Boulevard. Due to unknown reasons, he collided with a white 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan while trying to make a left turn.
As a result, Morford suffered grave injuries and died at the hospital.
Three people who were in the other vehicle sustained minor injuries. Crews transported the victims to the hospital for treatment.
Officers determined that impairment by alcohol or drugs were not factors in the collision.
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
