LAS VEGAS, NV (September 6, 2023) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that a 75-year-old woman died in a car accident on East Flamingo Road on August 15.

According to the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol, the collision happened at South Pecos Road at approximately 10:47 AM. Based on a report, a 2018 Subaru Outback was stopped for a red traffic signal on South Pecos Road on the left of northbound travel lanes prior to the crash.

Subsequently, the victim also stopped her 2007 Chrysler 300 behind the Subaru in the same travel lane. Due to unknown reasons, a 28-year-old driver failed to stop his 2009 Nissan Versa and hit the Chrysler’s rear. The impact then forced the front of the Chrysler into the back of the Subaru.

Crews also took another person to the hospital for treatment of injuries.

Officers arrested the Nissan driver for DUI-related charges.
