Sara Yielding Identified in Fatal Idalou Car Crash, Alexis Heinrich Injured

 
IDALOU, TX (March 27, 2023) – Officers identified 75-year-old Sara Ann Yielding of Lubbock as the victim who died in a crash on Highway 62 on March 22.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at 7th Street. Based on a report, 27-year-old Alexis Dawn Heinrich was going east on the highway in the outside travel lane at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, Yielding did not give the right of way to Heinrich and pulled in front of her vehicle.
 
As a result, Yielding suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
Crews treated Heinrich at the scene for her injuries.
