Man Killed in Henderson Pedestrian Accident on 120th Avenue and Salem Street

 
HENDERSON, CO (February 20, 2024) — A 74-year-old man from Henderson died in a pedestrian accident on Friday, February 9.
 
The Brighton Police Department said the accident happened at around 8:18 a.m. on 120th Avenue and Salem Street, near Prairie View High School.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, an 18-year-old woman driving a vehicle struck the elderly man.
 
Paramedics rushed him to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Medical personnel later pronounced him dead.
 
Officers closed westbound 120th Avenue while CSP investigated.
 
CSP did not know if the driver was a student at the school. According to a spokesperson for 27J Schools, no one from the school was involved in the crash.
 
Additionally, the spokesperson also addressed rumors. They said there were no injured staff or students and there was no bus involved. CSP did not have any information on who was at fault.
