73-Year-Old Maria Torres Struck and Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver on 20th Avenue at Nixon Street in Pasco

 
PASCO, WA (November 29, 2022) – Police identified 73-year-old Maria Larios Torres of Pasco as the victim who died in a hit-and-run on 20th Avenue on November 26.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the accident happened at Nixon Street around 7:00 PM. Based on a report, Torres and her 67-year-old husband had just finished a shopping trip to the SuperMex grocery store prior to the crash.
 
Both were wearing high-visibility clothes and carrying flashlights as they started crossing 20th Avenue. Subsequently, a dark-colored sedan hit them and fled the scene afterwards.
 
As a result, Torres died at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland.
 
The victim’s husband remained at the hospital for treatment.
 
The cause of the crash is still under investigation by WSP. As of now, no other details are available.
