Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Highway 190 in Darwin
DARWIN, CA (May 16, 2023) – Officers confirmed that a 73-year-old man from Las Vegas died in a motorcycle crash on Highway 190 on May 13.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened between Panamint Springs Resort and Father Crowley Point around 10:50 AM. Based on a report, the motorcycle was in a curvy section of the road at the time of the crash.
Subsequently, the rider lost control and slid into another lane, hitting the front of an oncoming vehicle.
As a result, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials did not yet release his name, pending the notification of next of kin.
California Highway Patrol, NPS, and Inyo County Coroner’s Office responded to the crash.
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
