Hai The Nguyen Identified in Fatal Eight-Car Crash in Garden Grove

 
GARDEN GROVE, CA (June 6, 2023) – The Garden Grove Police Department identified 73-year-old Hai The Nguyen of Westminster who died in a multi-vehicle crash in the 12100 block of Lewis Street on May 27.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Chapman Avenue around 5:54 PM. Based on a report, eight cars collided in the lanes.
 
Due to unknown reasons, Nguyen, a pedestrian, was involved in the wreck. Details on how the accident occurred were not immediately available.
 
Police said the victim suffered grave injuries and paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
Police did not believe alcohol or drugs were factors in the incident.
