William Davis Identified in Fatal Crash on 19th Avenue at Virginia Avenue in Phoenix

 
PHOENIX, AZ (October 6, 2023) – The Phoenix Police Department identified 72-year-old William Davis who died in a crash on 19th Avenue on October 2.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Virginia Avenue around 4:15 PM. Based on a report, Davis was driving northbound along 19th Avenue at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, he drifted into oncoming traffic and crashed with another car. Detectives did not yet release the reason that led up to the victim drifting into the other side of the road.
 
As a result, Davis sustained serious injuries. Emergency crews rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he later died.
 
Detectives said the other driver sustained minor injuries.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
